The Nomad 2 data logger can accurately monitor
wind speed, wind direction, temperature and air
pressure, and has proven reliability even in the
most extreme conditions.
The logger is designed to collect data and store
it on Window R-compatible Compact Flash cards
that can be read by laptop or desktop PC using a
simple USB adapter. It also has a high
performance battery life, plus a solar package
for perpetual operations an additional option.
Get Your Data Your Way
Nomad 2 makes it easier than ever to get your
data. Whether your connection is GSM, CDMA,
AMPS, Satellite, or landline, Nomad 2 will
answer your call and send you e-mail. Robust
Compact Flash cards provides solid state storage
and can be read by any PC using off the shelf
readers. NOMAD 2 comes with NOMAD Desktop TM.
Software to check in on your logger and see real
time values with the Zoom feature. Refine study
parameters by uploading a new configuration to
NOMAD 2 remotely - NOMAD Desktop's advanced
database system will keep all your data
organised and labeled.
LCD Display
A4 -line, 20-character LCD display is standard
in Nomad 2. The display contrast automatically
adjusts to compensate for colder or warmer
temperatures.
Flexible Sensor Options
As many as 12 anemometers or other/switching
devices can be connected to the Nomad 2,
including rain gauges, energy meters, and
relays, and additionally, 8 analog voltage
inputs, connect directly to wind vanes,
thermistors and transducers to measure air
pressure, electric power, sound level or
rainfall.
Robust Enclosure
The Nomad 2 is engineered for robust mounting
with secured sensor connections, and no
additional shelter box is needed. The data
logger itself is safe inside the watertight IP66
upper compartment, protected by the powder
coated steel enclosure.
Maximum Battery Life
The Nomad2 will run on two standard 9V alkaline
batteries for up to six months. For longer
uninterrupted power, a facility for internal 12V
batteries is included which frees up the 9V
battery to act as backup.
Easy-to use Windows R Software
Nomad DesktopTM allows you complete
flexibility to communicate with your logger when
and where you want. Configuration is now
simplified via Nomad Desktop, saving it to a
flash card which can be inserted directly into
the logger. The software also allows you to
create a variety of graphs and analytical data
at the click of a button, as well as all
allowing you to export data for further
