Tougher materials stand up to the toughest environments
The Model C3 rotor is made of tough polycarbonate for exceptional durability and reliability. The Model C3 sensor base is also made of rugged polycarbonate, making it more resistant to damage during installation. The Unique Bearing System Assures that wind blown dirt and moisture will not destroy the bearings and degrade Performance. Recorded Wind speeds up to 97 m/sec, make the C3C Anemometer the first choice for professional use in all fields.

Second Wind C3C Anemometer
The Second Wind C3 anemometer offers a new choice, including calibrated or uncalibrated anemometers to meet your needs. Our Model C3C anemometer has been calibrated at the highly respected Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Wright Brothers wind tunnel. MEASNET Calibrated Anemometer is also available.

Second Wind PV-1 Wind Vane
The PV-1 is a continuous-rotation potentiometric wind direction vane. It is ideal for applications including wind resource assessment, meteorological studies, and environmental monitoring. The mechanical range is a full 360 degrees with continuous rotation, and the instrument is compatible with all Nomad data loggers from Second Wind and similar data logging devices.
The Second Wind PV-1 Wind Vane has an innovative design featuring drip overhang to prevent icing. Combine this with a reduced dead band of as little as three degrees, and you get more reliable performance and accurate reads all the way around.

The Vector A100 Anemometer

The A100 Anemometer has a 3 cup rotor running a shaft, and is available as either a passive version using a magnetically-actuated switch or an active version using a chopped optical beam. Both versions provide pulse signals proportional to the wind speed being monitored. However, the active version provides more pulses for greater signal resolution when determining turbulence. A MEASNET calibration service is also available.
